My Vista PC won’t sleep !

ok so I ran into something weird just now, actually it happened before but i never thought of it, it started right after i formatted my Vista Home premium PC, but i tell it to go to sleep it would just turn off the monitor and act like it was sleeping, when before it would actually shut off and the power light would blink, so i did my research and found out that when you are sharing media (i had the Xbox 360 hooked on the network) that tell the computer to not sleep because it still has to share media, so now i don't have the Xbox here anymore so what i did is:

Capture

Control Panel -> Power Options -> If "High Performance" is selected, choose something else, like "Balanced" (I don't know why this works) -> Change plan settings (for the chosen power plan) -> Change advanced power settings -> Scroll down to Multimedia settings -> Choose "Allow the computer to sleep"

this way i cant now just hit the sleep button now and wala!
